I want to attract your attention to fantastic paper: Stereoscopy in Surgical Neuroanatomy: Past, present and futureEspecially parts: ‘from stereoscopes to audience: neuroanatomis applications’, ‘stereoscopic photography evolution in neurosurgery’, and ‘future direction’.

The authors have reflected the history and use of the principles of stereoscopic and photography in medical training; From 1905 ‘stereoscopic studies of anatomy’, to the current volumetric model, and the future of Lightfield’s appearance, focusing on neuroanatomy.

This is a paper that is easily approached and informative that highlights a significant aspect of the importance of stereoscopy. I would like to thank Dr. Roberto Rodriguez Rubio for his permission to share paper, and to congratulate him and his author’s colleagues for their work.

Scan from Atlas Edinburgh’s stereoscopic anatomyDenis Pellerin Collection. While this page is not related to neuroanatomy, this highlights the role of stereoscopic photography in medical training (and the neuroanatomy section is too graphics to share).

Congratulations #stereoscopyday
